Torchlight
We've now officially announced our game, Torchlight - we've really loved using Ogre3D, and are very happy with the results we achieved in a very short period of time!
Thanks for the awesome engine, Ogre team!

Wow. Screenshots look great! I hope to see more of these soon
How will the game be distributed? And is there a release date already?

I was waiting for this
Looks very good. Unbelievable you managed to come this far in such a short time, basicly starting from scratch.

Wow. I remember seeing this on some other site.
Never expected Ogre would be powering it.
Well done.

I'll go ahead and ask.. whats your solution for the GUI? Overlays, existing GUI lib, custom?

Re: Torchlight
Answers to a couple of questions -
Release - we'll be releasing a single-player this year, followed up with an MMO later on -
UI - Actually, we're using a combination of CEGUI and 3d meshes for our UI
We licensed Particle Universe and are using a heavily modified version of that for our particle systems
We stuck with fixed-function all the way, no shaders, to make sure we could properly support our minspec.

Re: Torchlight
Yay! A little bird told me you guys were using Ogre now, but I was waiting for some kind of official announcement. Looks completely awesome
I'm really glad to hear you're enjoying using Ogre. It's always nice to hear, but it's even better when it comes from a veteran team, so thanks.
And thanks for Diablo BTW. My brother-in-law invested literally years to that game and its sequel. Honestly, he still plays it now!
Edit: I embedded images in this thread according to our policy. So we're not bandwidth-stealing, the images are served from our Flickr gallery but the links still lead to the Runic fansites, hope that's ok.
