Rutime Error when trying to install...

First, when I go to download PyORGE, I hit the download button on either .06 or .05, and from there, navigating to download it is slow. Once it actually starts to downloading, it's pretty slow.

Then, when I go to run it, I've tried different versions with all the same resuslts, I get a runtime error saying: Setup program invalid or damaged

Common, it be great if I could get some help here.

I think this may be related to your version of Windows Installer, AFAIK you need to be using Windows installer MSI 3.1, check the following threads:

Well you said the download was really slow, so maybe your connection is corrupting the file. I'm not sure if there's a mirror site or not.

I've had IE screwup downloading something before, and when you retry it keeps grabbing the one from its cache.

Just downloaded pyogre-1.0.6.0.py24.exe, seem to be getting the same "invalid or damaged setup" trying to install. I'm using Firefox btw.

Also ran it through MD5Sum and compared with previous downloads, both which work:

- current version size 5,575,390
- 03/12/2005 Windows 98 size 5,575,389
- 17/12/2005 Windows XP size 5,575,389

Weird, don't think there's been any changes to the exe between 05-12-03 and now. Can anyone else try to install this.

Anyway if your still having problems you could try using WinRar to install manually, as per the second thread above, or if it is a problem I can gmail you the version that installs.

Try, as Kentamanos suggested , clearing your browser's cache and re-downloading. Not too sure what the problem was. I've just downloaded this to the same computers (with/without clearing the cache) and everything installs fine.
